Who We Are

New England HERC is a diverse group of public and private institutions in New England that include research universities, doctoral and master’s institutions, affiliated medical schools and teaching hospitals, four-year colleges, and community colleges.

Member representatives include institutional leaders, faculty, academic and faculty affairs professionals, human resources managers and administrators, diversity officers, dual-career consultants, and work/life personnel.

New England HERC is governed by a Steering Committee drawn from its member institutions and administered by the New England HERC Director.

Leigh Dzwik
"Being a member of HERC expresses the institutional value of collaboration with other higher education institutions and shows candidates that we are willing to reach out to the whole person as a hire, not just for the position itself."

- Leigh Settlemoir Dzwik, Assistant President for Academic Human Resources, Oakland University
