When you join NorCal HERC, you'll help your institution improve its recruitment and retention efforts through greater regional and national exposure for your open positions, access to a highly educated and unusually diverse pool of jobseekers, free professional development conferences and webinars that keep staff up to date on cutting edge recruitment and retention strategies and tools, the purchasing power that comes with pooled resources, and a rich network of peers at Northern California institutions for support

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to all colleges and universities, and to like-minded institutions such as hospitals, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and members of private industry.

To become a member, institutions: 

  • Must be located in Northern California
  • Pay membership dues 
  • Maintain current and accurate listings of academic and staff positions on the NorCal HERC website 
  • Support the NorCal HERC's efforts to track data as a means to measure HERC's success
